The Potters Beechworth - Upstairs

Amazing as it appears, some people don't know there is a second floor. We have this set of stairs in the middle of the shop and have a window in the ceiling of the ground floor showing some of the exhibits upstairs. The gallery is the upstairs floor of our shop. It is dedicated to the more special pieces. Contemporary ceramics is always the focus but pictures are allowed on the walls as appropriate. So far the gallery has encouraged us, the participating potters, to move outside our comfort zones and strive for something special, something that will fit upstairs. We can produced work full of surprises. Visiting national and international potters are now included and besides pushing their limits, it has exposed them to us and our customers.
