Our Kilns

The Production Kiln

The production kiln. A LPG fired reduction top-hat fibre kiln

This kiln is a 50 cu. Ft. Craftek fibre lined aluminium top hat gas fired machine. It is generally reduction fired to cone 10 although it does all bisque firings, decal, lustre and other tricky firings as well as oxidised crystal firings. We do about 50 glaze fires a year along with the prerequisite bisques. To avoid the damaged due to complacency on our behalf, I wrote a computer baby-sitter
